We are Excited to welcome Marylin Duncan to the Groundline Engineering team!
Marylin has joined the Groundline USA team as a Principal Engineer. Having attended Virginia Tech and graduated with her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Marylin started her career with a manufacturer of power transformers and other utility equipment. After a few years, she transitioned to a role as a substations engineer in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Five years later, Marylin and her husband moved to Roanoke, Virginia, where she started working as a transmission line engineer. For the past seven years, she has been focused on transmission lines in the mountains of West Virginia and Kentucky.
Outside of work, Marylin enjoys walking her dogs and one of her cats, spending time with family in the yard, or fishing in the Roanoke River. A highlight of her summer was when her husband, Raton, had an unexpected adventure during a bike ride—he collided with a black bear! Thankfully, both Raton and the bear are fine. As Raton humorously noted, “the bear was soft, but the ground was not.”
Welcome aboard, Marylin! We are happy to have you aboard!
Globally, as we transition toward a cleaner, electrified future, one reality has become clear: we cannot decarbonise without building. New overhead lines, underground cables, substations, and renewable energy infrastructure will shape the energy landscape for decades to come.

We’re excited to welcome Fergus Lobb to the Groundline New Zealand team as our newest Intermediate CAD Technician.

Groundline is pleased to announce the award of a seven year framework agreement with UK Power Networks for the provision of overhead line and underground cable design services. The agreement comprises of an initial four-year term, with the option to extend for a further three years.
