Ciara Gurhy started working at Groundline in March 2025 as a Project Manager on the PMO team. In this role, Ciara manages multiple team projects and updates internal PMO processes for continuous improvement.
Ciara was attracted to Groundline because of the people and culture, which stood out during the interview process.
Ciara has an interesting background, having worked as a civil engineer in Ireland, delivering renewable energy projects such as solar farms, wind farms, and Ireland's first hydrogen production facility. She is now applying this engineering experience to manage projects in New Zealand's power industry.
Outside of work, Ciara is a keen canoe polo player and has represented Ireland at international championships. Ciara is excited to train in New Zealand, where the women's team are the current World Champions. Additionally, Ciara enjoys various outdoor activities, including whitewater kayaking, hiking, surfing, diving, running, cycling, and skiing.
Welcome to the team Ciara!
We’re thrilled to introduce Maia, a Graduate Engineer who is joining our New Zealand team.

Sit in on any utility planning meeting and you’ll see the same challenge: project delivery dominates the agenda, while asset management fights for attention.

As Groundline enters a new phase of growth and I find myself at the helm, I am in an interesting position where I am looking through two lenses. One on the ANZ market that I have operated in for 10+ years and the other on our global markets (UK, EU and USA).
