Welcome Joe Mahoney to Groundline
We’re pleased to welcome Joe Mahoney to Groundline, who has joined our team as a Cable Engineer, based out of our London office.
In his role, Joe will be working on HV cable projects, focusing on cable design and the planning of cable routes between connection points. As Joe puts it, his job covers “HV cables, how big and where,” combining technical design with practical routing considerations to support successful project delivery.
Joe chose to join Groundline because of the company’s people‑focused workplace culture, and he is looking forward to being part of a supportive team environment while continuing to develop his career in cabling.
Originally from Manchester, Joe was raised in Scotland, where he studied and spent most of his life before recently relocating to London with his girlfriend. He holds a degree from the University of Glasgow in Electronic with Music, a unique background that involved building DIY synthesisers.
Outside of work, Joe’s interests include football, cricket, art, history, and music. A keen musician,he plays guitar and mandolin, bringing creativity and curiosity both in and out of the workplace.
